Luke 22: 35-38---A Different view

                                         Luke 22: 35-38
[35] Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?"
"Nothing," they answered.
[36] He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. [37] It is written: 'And he was numbered with the transgressors'; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment."
[38] The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords."
"That is enough," he replied.”

INTRODUCTION: The above is a more-or-less standard translation of the noted verse. From reading the many different interpretations of these three verses I can only conclude that the various commentators are so divergent as to lead me to doubt that they have a handle on this tidbit of the Gospels. The following comments provide a base for a very different view of these words.

Could it be that something happened after the Christ's earlier sending-out of disciples on the lawless roads of that land? Could it be that his concern for His People (As we are) as moved Him to have them take such measures as were needed to protect their bands?

ON SWORDS IN JESUS' TIME: The sword of c.33AD in the Roman world were the ultimate personal weapon. There were the AK-47s/AR-15s of that time. As all weapons of that era and most of today's they could be used for offense or defense.

Swords required much more metal than axes, daggers, spear points and other weapons. They also required very much more skill, effort and time in their manufacture which made them more uncommon in private hands than not and more costly than otherwise.

The writers of that era (Including those of the Gospels) were very aware of Roman and other weapons and, unlike some of the historically uninformed commentators on the verses noted above, not prone to confuse “swords” with “daggers”.

JESUS' NATIVE LANGUAGE: There is little doubt that the native language of Jesus was a form of Aramaic. He appears to have known enough Hebrew for the purposes of the Synagogue and may have known some Greek, the lingua-franca of the Eastern part of the Roman Empire as demonstrated by his interactions with Pontus Pilot who, as most members of the Roman upper class, spoke Greek.

JESUS' LAST “GEMERAL ORDERS” ABOVE IN ARAMAIC: The interlinear translations of the above verse, in the Christ's own mother tongue, yields the results: “They are sufficient”. This variation from “they are enough” is more-than-sufficient to cast serious doubts on the comments of some that Jesus was being sarcastic about his disciples' reaction to his declaration that they should have swords about them in the future. The first translation implies a dismissal of a wrongful reaction to His earlier statements; The latter a clear statement that two swords are “sufficient” to meet the needs of travelers. [This mistranslation is as wrong as giving “Thou shall not murder!” as “Thou shall not kill!”.]

After all, the roads of that time were not secure from bandits and other ill-doers as Roman and local “law enforcement” provided little security even within cities, let alone on the roads.

THE BIAS OF TRANSLATORS & COMMENTATORS: After reading the many and very varied translations of the noted text and the even more varied comments on it, I can only conclude that some of those persons put into those words what they wished them to mean, too often by convoluted arguments without sound premises or tempered logic. There is certainly no consistency on the interpretation of these verses. Some of these individuals could well be described as “Pathological Pacifists”! They might have done better by applying Occam's Razor and accepted that the words meant what they said (In Aramaic).

IRONY AND SARCASM: I am neither a biblical scholar nor an expert on language usages. However, it appears to me that even the most emphatic and pointed of Jesus' corrective teaching and chiding, often in parables, is ironic and without the harshness of sarcasm.

       Therefore, there is great doubt as to the validity of the statements of commentators who declare that the Christ was being sarcastic in his (Mistranslated as “That is enough”.) “That is sufficient”.

MOSAIC & NATURAL LAW & DEADLY FORCE: Here I will diverge from the actual verses noted above and travel to the related question of the use of force as appears to bother too many who fail to understand the history of this subject.

       From the Talmud (Moses killing the Egyptian attacking the Hebrew slave; And other verses as to slaying evil-doers) to the Torah (It is permitted to kill a night time burglar or trespasser The foundation of some jurisdiction's “Castle Laws”?) to such luminaries of our Anglo-American Law as Hobbs, Locke & Blackstone to even the very recent US Supreme Court's majority decision in District Of Columbia VS Heller the Natural Law right of self-defense (And defense of innocent others) has been supported. The means (Modern handguns) to enforce that right was the real cause-in-action for the Heller case, where the majority decision relied on Natural Law to support its decision.

        For the Orthodox and Catholics explaining the meaning of the scriptures gives greatest authority to the Ecumenical Councils of the Church and, to some extent, the lesser councils and synods. [If anyone can inform me of any decisions of such as to the use of force to defend self and innocent others against criminal attacks, I would be happy to receive such information.]

       Catholics, of course, accept the rare ex cathedra decisions of the Pope as to (Only) matters of Faith and morals [Same request!].

       Both the Catholic and Orthodox Churches also give great weight to the early Church Fathers. Catholics, at the least, grant those persons designated as “Doctors Of The Church” great authority in matters of Faith and morals AND in interpretation of the meaning of the Gospels.

       The only “Doctor Of The Church” who, as far as I know, directly addressed the use of deadly force was St. Bernard of Clairvaux who (In his De Laude Novae Militae) mentioned the “two swords”, closely outlined when Christians may use deadly force AND noted that “the edge of the sword” could be used to defend Christ and His Church.

        He also noted that St. John the Baptist did not demand that soldiers give up their profession; But, only that they not abuse their authority.

        The Christ, of course, gave great honor to the Centurion (A professional soldier and, if you will, a professional killer) and to his Faith.

"PUT UP YOUR SWORD”: To my mind, Christ's command to St. Peter was a “special case” as Jesus's capture, death and resurrection was necessary for the salvation-of-mankind; Such a special case not being a model for other situations or for such lesser persons as ourselves.

LEGIONS OF ANGELS: Yes, the Christ could have called upon “Legions Of Angels” to protect his followers as well as himself. Yet, as to His followers, that would have eliminated the virtue of their becoming witnesses (Martyrs) to Him and his teachings before the world's authorities of that time, rather than having the protection of two swords against common bandits. As to Himself, the same applies as in the paragraph above.

SWORDS AND THE STATE: Of course, those (eg Mr. Mark Shea) who place special weight on the words of St. Paul should recall his approval of the State's use of the sword to punish evil doers.

Some others had thought that the “two swords” referred to the division of authority between Kings (Civil governments) and the Church. This is not scriptural as it derives from the Reformation and is, at best, a strained argument.

AN EXCELLENT PRINTED DISCUSSION: The following book is worth reading on general principle and especially as to the use of force and justified war:

       This volume's positions and arguments can be extended, in part, to personal self-defense when the State or international-organizations are unable or, sad to write, unwilling to aid the innocent from criminal attack (eg By the Jihadi in the Sudan against the Pagan, Christian and some Muslim peoples of that nation/criminal-organization).

INSULTS & TURNED CHEEKS: Yes, the Christ told us to respond to insults, even to a slap to the face, by “turning/offering the other cheek”. That is, even the most gross insults are not an excuse for such evils as revenge.

       To better understand this, it must be remembered that for time immemorial any blow to the head or face was the worst of insults in most cultures. Even in the “civilized” Western world, it has not been so many years since such a blow would result in two “gentlemen” standing ten-paces from each other with pistols in hand and murder in their hearts.

        Yet, I do not find in the Scriptures any instructions to accept murder, rape, genocide, mutilation or even robbery/theft (The taking of that part of a honest person's life expended in earning property) without taking effective and immediate actions to forestall the execution of such crimes. Such are beyond insults and are dealt with, above, in the “Natural Law” section of this essay.

CONCLUSION—AN ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATION: It appears that Jesus had sent his disciples out before the time of the noted verses without anything and with some very restrictive commands. Perhaps, some of them were confronted by evil men on the unsafe roads of that time. Perhaps, Jesus then wished them to have the “sufficient” protection of “two swords”, being enough to ward off bandits without giving the appearance of an armed party. This appears to be the simplest explanation of those verses and, therefore, the best one.

Aurora As Gun Free & Free Fire Zone

According to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist, Mr. Eugene Kane, the entire city of Aurora is a "Gun Free Zone" to the extent that the carrying of concealed weapons is illegal there.  This provides an answer to my questions|: "Why was there no citizen who used his/her concealed handgun to "double tap" (ie Two rounds to the head) the Aurora Theater shooter.

Aurora Colorado may now be added to such places as Columbine High School, Virginia Tech, Northern Illinois University, Nebraska's Westroads Mall and, so hard to believe, Fort Hood. That city can now also be added to those places who welcome terrorists, "crazies" and other criminals to their "Free Fire Zones" and provide some guarantee a very good measure of protection to them from law-abiding and armed citizens.

The citizens of that city should question their public officials as to the sanity of their
anti-CCW measure

External View Of Obama & USA

      Business leaders and public administrators sometimes find it necessary and useful to hire "outside consultants" to take a new and, hopefully, independent view of their operations. Sometimes it is equally useful AND necessary for the "body politic" of the USA (ie Its citizens and legal immigrants) to do the same.
      Fortunately and at no cost to us (So unlike our various governmental units) a newspaper in the Czech Republic has provided us, free of charge, such an evaluation of our voters.

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic.Someone over there has it figured out.  It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon:


"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. Yes, alas, it is true. Oh, I am a poor sinner, and have offended against the Lord, and lived in the dark night of racism, and it presses hard upon my soul. Oh, how it does. But now, having seen the light of goodness, I repent and will own like a man to my transgressions. Yes, I will say it here, before God and man: I have believed that things should be done without regard to race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.

The shame, the shame!!!!

I will make a clean breast of yet more. I have been against all discrimination by race or sex, against affirmative action, racial set-asides, special treatment for women, quotas, and favoritism by the government and the media. Oh the guilt I feel! I have been a beast, worse even than the Grand Flagon of the Invisible Umpire of the Ku Klux Klan.

There is still more. I have read, and believed, and steeped myself in the pernicious theories of known racists, such as Martin Luther King, who once said openly, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

Yes, yes, I too thought this and—oh, woe—was even proud of thinking it. I believed that behavior counted, not race—that if a mob of teenagers gang-robbed a convenience store, they should be horse-whipped, regardless of their race. I thought they should be judged by the content of their characters. I could not see the injustice of equal justice. I did not yet grasp that being against racism was proof positive of racism.

Understanding was not yet upon me. I thought before my salvation that people should take responsibility for their actions. If jack-booted Nazis beat a black unconscious because of, well, pretty much anything, I figured the newspapers should publish their names and photographs, and the courts should give them a minimum of thirty years, no parole, in which to ponder the wisdom of doing it again. Crimes should not be hidden, I believed, nor the criminals protected, according to race.Or anything else. The same laws for everyone, I told myself. Oh, fool that I was.

I was wrong. I now see that a belief in equal treatment under the law is the foulest form of racism. It discriminates unfairly against criminals. All I can say in defense of myself is that other racists, such as Thomas Sowell, led me into these moral swamps. [Sowell: “Similar episodes of unprovoked violence by young black gangs against white people chosen at random on beaches, in shopping malls or in other public places have occurred in Philadelphia, New York, Denver, Chicago, Cleveland, Washington, Los Angeles and other places across the country. Both the authorities and the media tend to try to sweep these episodes under the rug, as well.”]


In Washington, where I once worked, Intensely Good people encouraged me to correct my thoughts. For example, I was told repeatedly by my moral betters that crime and illiteracy flourished among our black population because blacks were deprived and oppressed. I didn’t believe it. No. Instead I hearkened to Walter Williams, a perilous Simon Legree and known Klansman. A very devil, he wrote “I graduated from Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin High School in 1954. Franklin's students were from the poorest North Philadelphia neighborhoods — such as the Richard Allen housing project, where I lived — but there were no policemen patrolling the hallways. There were occasional after-school fights — rumbles, we called them — but within the school, there was order. Students didn't use foul language to teachers, much less assault them.”  He also asserts that the kids could all read. Racism, pure and simple.

This, note, was when discrimination and oppression were real. So why, I asked myself, heartless racist that I was, can’t black kids read and behave now when discrimination favors them?

Yes, I know, now I know, when it is too late, that only a racist could think that black children could learn to read, and therefore damned well ought to if other people were paying for it.You see, I was in those days socially dangerous without realizing it. Being a racist, I thought that everyone could learn to read, obey the laws, avoid beating people into brain damage, and behave civilly.

Now, permit me to turn to the environmental consequences of racial virtue. This is a more serious matter than many know. It is a question of clogging. When I was in the nation´s capital, a strange, gummy, yellowish substance began washing up on the banks of the Potomac. It killed fish. Chemical analysis showed it to be PSAG, Polymerized Self-Admiring Goodness. The sources seemed to be the neighborhoods around the Washington Post, and the socially conscious regions of upper Connecticut Avenue and Montgomery County. I began to study the racially virtuous whites who lived there.
I found that those who were most vehemently Self-Admirigly Good regarding blacks didn’t know any blacks. They didn’t send their children to the city’s black schools. They stayed out of black neighborhoods. I had known some of them for twenty years and never been with them in a restaurant with more than a token black or two. Thais, Chinese, Italians, Salvadorans, yes. Blacks, no. They had no black friends that I saw. I didn’t ask them when they had last gone to dinner with a black family. Being a racist, I didn’t think I needed to ask.

The devastattion wrought by PSAG. Fred with the last alligator of Lake Chapala, Mexico’s largest lake. A lot of gringos live in the hills above the lake, many of them self-admiringly good, and PSAG washes into the lake in the rainy season. Note that the alligator appears to be gagging.


In fact, these Righteous Washingtonians seemed to have no interest in blacks at all, other than avoiding them, but just wanted to feel good about themselves. If I mentioned that the black schools of Washington were horrible, which they were and are, the response was to call me a racist. Which I was, of course. But how does that help black kids who, generation after generation, are being turned into adults whose only ability is to produce similar generations?

Being deeply in error before my enlightenment, I mistook their hypocritical condescension to blacks for hypocritical condescension to blacks. This latter is a known ingredient of Polymerized Self-Admiring Goodness. Everything fits.

Now I shall go and slit my wrist

My Vote---Sacred & Defended

A long time ago (1956-59) I invested three three years of my life in, among other things, defending the weight-and-sanctity of my vote through service in the US Navy. That was in one of the then three most dangerous specialties in that service (A part of my duties involved sitting, for hours, much too close to a radiation leaking A-bomb.)

Did your serve your fellow citizens and the common-good by: Military service; Such danger as comes with being a peace officer/prison guard/fire-fighter; Voluntary service, far from home, in the Peace Corps, Domestic Peace Corps or other like (Non-missionary) organization; Or, like work of service and risk? [For women, the voluntary bearing of children and the dedicated rearing of them will more suffice!] In other words, did you "pay your citizenship dues"?

When one illegal immigrant or sentence-serving-felon or Chicago (Obama's real political base and model) "vote early and vote often" critter casts an illegal ballot I am much more than offended---I unlock my gun safe and think dark thoughts.

Compromise & Division

In 1938 the UK's Neville Chamberlain (Along with the leaders of other European nations) compromised with Adolf Hitler and gave up a large part of Czechoslovakia (Containing ist best defensive positions) to the Nazis, setting the stage for Hitler's greater aggressions. This compromise came at a horrid cost to the World. At first, Western Europe compromised with Mohammed and Muslims, yielding rape, slavery and perpetual war to civilization. In the 1940s we compromised with Stalin (In part to defeat Hitler, in part due to the influence of left-wingers in the USA and the cancer of "pathological pacifism") at a
greater-than-Nazi cost in suffering to the World.

There are some persons and ideologies for which compromise is not only a beginning greater suffering but is a supporting of what is wrong and inherently evil.

It most strongly appears that too many in the USA are of the opinions that "compromise" requires real republicans to bow down to the misshapen policies of the "other party" and to those in the GOP who do not recognize the evil of what such are and of insisting on a policy of "They Shall Not Pass".

[In the case of the ejection-and-rejection of Senator Lugar: That  represents a democratic choice of the People (Expressed in the secret and sacred confines of the voting booth) and an assertion of the commitment of real Republicans and Patriots to the best principles of our exceptional nation.].

What Divides The People Of The USA

  Too many are confused over the basis of that division. Here, I can help define the nature of many such differences. Many US citizens (And legal immigrants) have finally come to an understanding of the following points as "reliable and valid".
1. There is a difference between good and evil.
2. Compromise with evil is evil in itself .
3. There is a difference between knowledge and ignorance.
4. Compromise with ignorance is ignorant.
5. There is a difference between what can be, on a reliable and valid basis, supported by experimental science and that which cannot be, but is too often claimed as "scientifically proven" < span=""><>.
6. There is a difference between the position that real science must constantly reevaluate its propositions and theories (Not equal to each other) and no scientific proposition (eg
The speed of light' Substantial human causes for climate change) is beyond question.
7. Without regard to its "sometimes" failures the traditional marriage of one man and one women has been clearly demonstrated, by history, as the basic-and-best unit of the nation and of civilization .
8. That spending beyond income will result in the ruination of an individual or family or a corporation or a nation.
9. There are major differences between Islam and the world's monotheistic religions
as make Islam the enemy of both any democracy and civilization .
10. The public acts of Mr. B. H. Obama are contrary to the best interests of the People of the USA .
11. That the original intent of the authors of the Constitution (And its amendments) should be the primary base for any judicial decisions as that basic document has NO provisions for "evolving standards of decency" or other judicial inventions BUT does have a prescribed method of change ,

I could list many more of the like divisions in this nation. It will up to the People (And, hopefully, not life-term Federal judges) , through the democratic election of its representatives, chose which positions will be public policy.

I do not see any openings for compromise on the above and many other subjects as they are too basic to the future of the nation.

Speed Of Light & The "Telepathic Twin" Study

      There is a common Science Fiction theme with two telepathic twins, one staying on the Earth and the other leaving on a space-ship. The result, in those stories, is that one twin aging at a rate much different than the other.
This is a different set of conditions than the usual "clock in orbit" experiment where time-and-space are much more constricted than the SF story. These stories assume that telepathic communications are not limited by the speed-of-light.
      Now, what I have wondered is would a reversal through time-and-space of the traveler reverse the time differential or double it?
       This is speculation. But, are there any relevant experiments (As are "reliable and valid" with a high "level of confidence")?

Constitution, Jefferson & Whaling

Much (Too much and in a  too expansive SCOTUS opinion written by an one-time, active, member of the KKK.) has been made as to President Thomas Jefferson's private letter noting his support of the "separation of church and state". Below is his view, also in a private letter, as to interpreting the Constitution.

"On every question of construction carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text or invented against it, conform to to the probable one in which it was passed. "

Please specially note that the term "trying" was used as in "boiling down" something (eg Whale blubber or the Constitution) to obtain what the actors wish (eg Whale oil or perverse decisions by judges "making law from the bench")

Please specially note that Wisconsin's applicable constitutional amendment was subject to repeated votes of our democratically elected legislators and by a direct, democratic and secret vote of the People.

Trading Blacks For Whites

There are some Americans who have suggested that we transfer the USA's "unhappy" Blacks for South African Whites, a move which would tend to increase our schools' test scores, reduce the criminal system's expenses,  Those persons propose that such could be done by: Requiring the out-goers to have an immigration visa from some other nation; Formally renounce US citizenship; Accept some  cash to leave the USA and surrender all constitutional rights if found back in the USA.   White South Africans would be given a reasonable grant to start up life here in a society which could cut back taxes and otherwise provide jobs for them after "The Trade".

For myself, I am very aware of very many Blacks who are superior to myself and most by reason of being fully civilized. These persons are unlikely to wish to leave and would hurt our nation if they did.

I have been accused of going back to ancient history (Referring to Presidents Washington, Madison, Jefferson & Lincoln) in dealing with the First Amendment to the Constitution---Especially as to the "separation clause" and the much too neglected "free exercise of religion" clause. Judges Vs. Governor Walker

US Judge William Conley, appointed by Mr. Obama, struck down much of the public union related legislation passed by the democratically elected members of our Legislature. I do have some questions about him.

1. Did he sign "Recall Scott Walker" or like petitions regarding other democratically elected officials;;
4. Has he been been a dues paying members of any political party since being confirmed in their judicial positions;
5. If so, which party;
6. Since such confirmation, has he contributed to political parties or their candidates;
7. If so, which received his cash contributions;
8. As Wisconsin is a "community property state", were his spouse or children involved in any of the above noted political activities; And,
9. Would any, if any, such demonstration of bias serve to buttress-up any appeal of his decision?


The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's editorial of March 14, 2012, approved a court order to stop enforcement of the "Voter ID Law", was headed "Another good decision...". That implies that there was an earlier and "good" like decision. The earlier decision was rendered in sloppy language by Dane County Judge David Flanagan who had signed a "Recall Walker" petition, the noted and enjoined law being a core part of Governor Walker's program. (It is still unknown to me if that Judge or his wife, Wisconsin being a community property law State, have contributed to the anti-Walker candidate Kathleen Falk or other such sharks.)

The same questions as proposed as to Judge Conley should be asked of them.

The Arab & Muslim Progression

Those who report on the Middle-East, Islam and Muslims too often fail to understand the progression provided below.
1. Myself Vs. my brother---And all the world.
2. My brother and me Vs. our cousins---And all the world.
3. My brother, cousins and myself Vs. our Tribe and Clan.
4. My brother, cousins, clan/tribe and myself Vs. our nation---And all the world.
5. My brother, cousins, clan/tribe and myself Vs. the "other forms of Islam".
6. All of we Muslims (Living in the "House Of Peace") Vs. All "unbelievers" (Who live in the House of War")---According to the perpetual declaration of war proclaimed by Mohammed in the Koran.

To a limited extent, Steps 1-4 may apply to non-Muslim Arabs in such places as Lebanon.

Resolution Of Abuse Cases--Modest Proposal

There is a reasonable solution to cases of allegations of sexual and other criminal abuse as to both public government (eg Schools and police departments) or private agencies (eg All religious organizations) which solution must be on a "shall" basis under our laws. These steps are as listed below.
1. Any such complaint must be by a sworn statement containing a statement of the penalty for "False Swearing" [The public/private agency's "good faith" can be measured on the assistance given in preparing that complaint.]
2. Copies of any such sworn statements to be delivered, by hand or registered mail, to the local police agency and District Attorney, with a copy kept for internal investigation and other legal action.
3. As soon as is possible the complainant must repeat, on oath/affirmation, the complaint before a magistrate, after being advised of the penalty for Perjury.
4, The District Attorney must either issue charges OR refer the complaint to the county's Chief Judge for a "John Doe Hearing".
5. In all cases where the evidence does not support a prosecution or the accused is not found guilty by a Court, the District Attorney shall/must issue charges of False Swearing and Perjury----Without any "plea bargaining" or "deferred prosecution" allowed under law.
6. Any falsely accused person or organization should be allowed triple damages against any false accuser or any organization supporting such offenses against the law and justice.

In the document presented to the government of Spain, Imran reveals 10 points which will support his petition for banning the Quran:

Obama's Declaration Of War Vs. Constitution

Mr. B. H. Obama has declared war against all who would resist his efforts to destroy the rights guaranteed by the Constitution. In addition to parallel attacks he has most clearly declared that war against all Catholics who oppose the use of tax moneys to support abortion and birth-control and do so on the basis that such is a violation of the right to the "free exercise of religion".

Many citizens, other than Catholics, have also concluded that Mr. Obama's attack against Catholic-citizens is an attack on the constitutional rights of all citizens, without regard to their religions---Or lack thereof.

Perhaps it is that Mr. Obama (Due to his education in a Muslim land and by agents of the far and very anti-religion Left) has not absorbed the lessons of History that deep (Chiefly Christian) religious faith (And not the rule-of-caliphs or that of atheist-dictators as Hitler or Mao or other tyrants) is at the heart of our freedoms.

B. H. Obama's war against the Constitution is NOT limited to the "free exercise of religion" provision of the First Amendment. He has, sometimes directly, attacked the "Fist Amendment" (aka The Second Amendment) through allowing his Attorney General to involve BATF agents as law-breaking "straw buyers" of weapons. His attacks on the "separation of powers" provisions of the Constitution are almost without number. (They should be numbered and listed in a "Bill Of Impeachment").

If, and only if, Mr. Obama is contemplating the use-of-force (Armed Federal agents OR Orders from his tame judges) to enforce his unconstitutional directives, he should remember that the victims of tyrants sometimes react as our political ancestors did in 1775. Since Mr. B. H. Obama appears to be ignorant of US history, I suggest that he consider the statement (Paraphrased) of a militia officer at Lexington: "If he wants a war, let it start here!".

For myself, I will consider all of the supporters (eg Democrat Members of the Congress, members, NOW, DNC and such as support Mr. Obama's attack equally liable for the reactions of patriots.

Non-Resistance As Sin

There are some (Pathological) pacifists who maintain to use force (Especially deadly force) to resist criminal attacks and evil persons/movements/ideologies is against the will of Jesus the Christ. That is sooooo wrong!

Most specially, where there is a criminal threat of death, failure to resist is a form of suicide which has been described as the ultimate sin as it denies hope in the saving grace of God. Such is also a most insulting rejection of the Natural Law, given to all by God to all humans, containing the right of self-defense (And, by extension, the defense of innocent others).

The Christ's concern for children (And other innocents) is well supported in the Gospels. Failure to defend such against criminal assaults appears to also be a violation of that Natural Law and, by extension, of Jesus' concern for children and the "meek".

If, and only if, there is some sin in resisting evil (Even by deadly means), then the non-suicide of resistance allows for obtaining God's forgiveness at some future time (If, and only if, such is truly required in such cases).

Of course, at the beginning of such criminal attacks it is impossible to determine if non-resistance will bring death and the threat of such is warrant enough for any level of resistance.

You might reflect on the value of resisting (By prior-and-preventive liquidation) those KKK monsters who bombed some young girls, in a Southern church building, too early out of this world. You might consider the effect of even one bullet or dagger-thrust as to stopping or, at the least, slowing down the beyond-horrible crimes of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao. Mohammed and those who they convinced-or-forced to follow them.

For myself, I will place my trust in Divine Justice (Justice, not suicidal peace being the proper center of the Will of God) and stand my Judgement (Which will come in a very few years)---And continue to resist evil by word and, if that Justice allows it to me, by affirmative deed.

Catholics may also wish to consider the advise of St. Bernard of Clairvaux (A "Doctor of the Church"), in his De Laude Novae Militae, as to the pre-conditions AND the sometimes need to "strike blows for Christ".

Caucuses Are Anti-Democracy

The use, by some political parties, of "caucuses" to directly-or-indirectly select candidates for presidential nominating conventions is very much in opposition to the best, democratic, traditions of the USA! Why?
Because they exclude: Members of the Armed Forces who serve well away from their home towns; Many fire-fighters (Many of whom serve 24-hour shifts); Police officers (Many of whose actual work hours exclude caucus participation); Medical professionals who may are assigned to work during caucus hours; Over-the-road truck drivers; The old, infirm and sick who still have active minds but cannot travel to caucus locations or tolerate the conditions of such meetings; And, many others in like straits.
Although some have cited such court cases as have concluded that such caucus systems are the "property" (Within the jurisdiction) of the sponsoring political parties. However, there are other court cases which have noted that those parties must provide for the equal treatment and paticipation without regard to race. The exclusion of the above cited (And other) Ameicans is as much a violation of our best principles---If not the Constitution.

Archbishop Dolan VS Full Natural Law

Archbishop Timothy Dolan has (Again?) addressed the matter of Natural Law as basic
to respect-for-life (A). Yet, he (And so many others within and without the Church) inflict the same platitudes on use and avoid the "hard questions" as to Natural Law.

Those (eg Archbishop Timothy Dolan) who present "glittering generalities" about the above noted subjects should be prepared AND should be required to address the following questions and points.
1. Does, in fact, Natural Law strictly allow the innocent to protect themselves against the attacks of the unjust?
2. Does the absence of such civil-or-military forces who are both able and willing to provide immediate-and-effective protection magnify that right to self-defense?
3. Does the absence of such immediate-and-effective government protection specially allow the innocent to have the means (ie Modern firearms and other weapons) to enforce the Natural Law right to self-defense?
4. Does that right stop at the first hesitation of the criminal-attacker OR extent to the prevention of such attacks in the immediate future? At some longer interval when the attacker has clearly indicted an intent to continue such attacks?
5. Does Natural Law extend a right OR duty to protect the innocent against like criminal attacks?
6. Does Natural Law (As understood by the Church) allow for the use of deadly force to protect the lives of innocent others?
7. Does the Church admit that Islam's teachings, goals and methods all combine to encourage, if not command (As the expressed will of the Allah of the followers of the false prophet Mohammed), murder, rape, banditry, genocide, suppression of all true religions and of all other ideologies as well as that of all women and all Non-Muslims?
8. Does the Church still accept or now deny the validity of the teachings of that "Doctor Of The Church, St. Bernard Of Clairvaux (In his De Laude Militae Novae; E.), that it is sometimes necessary, if not required, that the faithful "Strike (Deadly) Blows For Christ"---If, and only if, the Christian warrior is without selfish or illicit motives? In doing so we would be "Good Shepherds".

If, and only if, Archbishop (And others) wish to teach about Natural Law, protecting life and like subjects, he (And they) must address the "hard questions" lest he (They) fail of the duty to fully teach "The Splendor Of Truth"

Vocational Education In/For Wisconsin

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel should be thanked for its publication of Mr. Buckley Brinkman's column ("Shortage requires unified effort"; Jan. 1. 2012; Page-4J) supporting vocational education and the self-direction (Or, guiding) of our youths towards trade-and-vocational education and careers.

It would have been much better to have printed it on Page-1J and "above the fold" as the editors did for the platitudes and "glittering generalities" they inflicted on its readers, from "professional educators" and other self-serving politicians, some few weeks ago.

Yet, I think that Mr. Brinkman too conservative as to specific recommendations for the good of our youth and our economy. Below you will find a partial list (I invite additions or alternatives) towards the above cited goal.

1. The selection of vocational school board members is: Archaic and does not represent the many and accelerating changes in our economic world as "quotas" are set for persons of certain positions; And, is most undemocratic as as the People do not select those members from the best qualified candidates (Who, in a direct election, could tout such factors as work experience, prior vocational education, union membership, industrial-executive experience and like factors). Therefore, I suggest that vocational board members be directly elected by the citizens who pay for those schools.
2. As Mr. Brinkman mentioned student loan debt, I suggest that student loans for our many vocational schools be: Limited to those students in GED/HSEHS ED and purely vocational/professional programs (eg Fire fighting, Nursing, "Body Shop"; Plumbing); And, excluding those (eg Liberal Arts, ESL) for which the onus of payment should be on the student and not the tax payer---Especially in the light of loan defaults on such "non-economic" loans).
3. To maximize returns on the investment in vocational education all "Affirmative Action" programs or any "quotas" must be eliminated.
Entry must be for the best qualified applicants as based on "cultural fair" educational (Reading and mathematics skills) and job-related skills as might be obtained from natural ability, out-of-school-learning and tested by such means as are familiar to guidance and vocational-rehabilitation counselors.
4. It would be best if we were not wasting tax moneys on such programs that over-produce technical school graduates for whom there is only a limited (Or, nonexistent) demand. Therefore one State agency must ask other governmental units, unions, professional and industrial organizations (eg Auto Body Shop owners) Etc. to submit (eg Once every two years) their data and conclusions as to the numbers and needs for trained workers over the following ten years AND their recommendations as to the types of training & retraining (Do not forget Mr. Brinkman's comments as to the changing nature of our technology) needed to meet those goals.
Those who do not wish to cooperate should be "reminded" that they will be cut out of relevant, job filling-and-producing, private-sector-union-building and profit-making decisions-and-actions.
The data collected and processed must result in decisions as to which programs are to be established or expanded or suspended or cut-back or eliminated.
5. The regional differences in such results must not be ignored.
6. The unions and business interests cited above should be "solicited" to underwrite
(eg An up-to-date Body Shop training center)---Especially where there is a considerable demand for some particular cluster of training OR retraining skills.
7. In exchange for all of the above efforts and expenditures by business and union interests, we should change our State's laws (And Constitution) to allow, as necessary, binding (NOT subject to bankruptcy proceedings, for which some "waiver" might be necessary from the Congress) "Apprenticeship Contracts" (aka Indentures) to "bind" young workers to specific employers for set periods-of-time, performance standards, pay rates and other such matters. [There may be a body of well tested and applicable law and models still in place in Germany upon which Wisconsin-specific laws could be crafted.]
8. All appropriate high school staff must be retrained as to counseling students on the opportunities offered by vocational training and careers----And, evaluated as to their performance in that area. State Superintendent of Schools "Tony" Evers should also be evaluated, by editors and the People, as to his performance in this area.

I look for relevant, creative and true action by Governor Walker, the Legislature and other State agencies.

STOP! Rethink U-Wisconsin Education

UW President Kevin Reilly is reported touting the goal of boosting the number of university graduates in Wisconsin. It appears that he is claiming that such would aid the luring of companies to our State and the boosting of Wisconsin's economy.

If, and only if, those are the goals of UW they would be better served by enacting and enforcing the following steps:
1. Eliminate all "remedial education" and related "coaching" programs within UW (With many savings in staff costs);
2. Admit to both undergraduate and graduate (eg Law and medicine) programs only the academically best qualified by, among other means, eliminating all "affirmative action" policies and programs (For more such savings);
3. Make it a matter of UW policy that quotas are to be set-and-maintained for designation as "undergraduate majors" and graduate programs in proportion to the economic demand for persons, with such degrees, in our labor market (For myself, I suggest that there may be more persons being issued degrees in Social Work, Black Studies, Women's Studies and like areas that there is any, if any, demand for by employers);
4. Reduce the number of "Assistants" and "Deputies" in all academic positions by not less than 50%, a change which will save millions-of-dollars and that without any probable harm to students.
5. Required that a set part (eg 50%) of patent-licensing-fees, copyright-payments "earned" by UW faculty and other staff while employed (And using UW facilities and staff to develop or publish) be paid into the General Fund of the State or, at the least, UW's General Fund and NOT siphoned off to some entity not under the control of the Legislature or Regents.

Most importantly, it appears (On the basis of the best information available to me) that the real need of our employers will be persons trained in manufacture-related skills by our excellent Technical Colleges (Which should take the same cost saving measures noted above)! Therefore, the Legislature and our Governor should focus more state resources (Dependent on execution of the cost savings measures noted above) on those technical college AND inform UW that it must control AND cut-back its spending as outlined above.

On CCW, Liability, Constitutions & "Posting"

The usual "much heat and little light" has been generated by those opposed to our democratically elected Legislature ruling that no minimum number of hours of "gun training" is needed to obtain a permit to carry concealed weapons.

Beyond consideration of the carrying of weapons is a basic constitutional right (Endorsed by President Thomas Jefferson, the Supreme Court of the USA and the People of Wisconsin in Article-I, Section-25 of their Constitution) all should remember that the carrying of such lumpy devices is a personal choice. Doing so puts such free citizens as exercise that right at very great personal risk of arrest, imprisonment, lawyers' fees, costs and damages if they use-or-misuse weapons---Even if found "Not Guilty" in any criminal case AND found not financially responsible in civil cases.

From a political-philosophical point-of-view it is important that the decision to carry or use weapons is a personal and not "nanny state" choice. The many persons, chiefly in "certain neighborhoods" who have been illegally carrying and criminally misusing guns for many years made their personal choices. I doubt me that those who get CCW licenses will demonstrate any parallel patterns of misuse---As demonstrated in those States which have "must issue" CCW-permit laws---Without regard to the training received.

When my CCW-permit arrives, I will carry to, if nothing else, exercise a constitutional right too long suppressed by the proponents of the "nanny state" and other forms of tyranny.

Those who persecute, rather than ethically-and-legally prosecute gun carrying and self-defense-using citizens are tyrants. They must and shall be removed from appointed or elective office.

Why CCW Is Better Than Open Carry

One of the disadvantages of the open carrying of weapons (For some time allowed to all adult citizens not on probation or parole) is contained in the unlawful harassment of some legally (And openly) "carrying" citizens in Madison, WI. That case involved a mob of Madison, WI police officers confronting five such legally, openly and peacefully armed citizens. Those who overcame probable fear of unstable an unconstitutional armed police officers were illegally arrested. That asinine police misbehavior cost the City of Madison $10,000.00.

Milwaukee has Edward (SS-und PolizieFuhrer) Flynn who has stated that "his" (Gee whiz, I thought they "belonged" to the citizens of that city) officers are to "take to the ground" any (Openly) armed person until they can "prove" they have a right to go armed. With that prior statement, I suggest that any citizen attacked in that manner should NOT settle for less than $100,000.00.

The other reasons for concealed carry are:
A. To avoid upsetting those immature persons who get upset stomachs and egos upon seeing an armed and law-abiding citizen who is, I presume, willing and able to defend self against criminal attacks---And to protect fellow citizens;
B. To not draw the first fire of such criminals and to allow the armed citizen to "surprise" such critters.

"Dhimmitude" In The Media

Dhimmitude is the state of being in very humble subjection to Islam and Muslims. This fatal (To intellectual and journalistic honesty) disease has infected most of the media (Including such otherwise honest sources as Fox News).

Jihad is primarily Muslims' use of force against persons who are not Muslims in obedience to the directives of Islam's inventor (Mohammed of Mecca & Medina) to force them to either convert to Islam OR to grovel in a state of dhimmitude.

A recent and most troubling example of this is the failure of the Press to report that the persons responsible for the recent mass killings in Belgian, shootings in Hollywood (California) and other like incidents were Muslims apparently on jihad.

The "duty" to be involved in such jihad activities is binding on every Muslim male and does not require any authorization by any Islamic group or religious-political authority (eg A Caliph)

The horrid plague of dhimmitude has a very special locus in such places as the Associated Press which infects many newspapers---Especially those which do not "check the facts" before reprinting AP stories.

A Short Lesson As To Islam

THIS BOILS DOWN THE MINIMUM DATA NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND ISLAM.

Defining Islam---Again

1. Islam is NOT a religion; But, is a criminal-terrorist movement-or-ideology not far
different from the KKK or Nazi-Party (Sharing the same principles of hate-of-Jews and all real religions, use of violence and the other horrors taught in Mein Kampf and the Koran;
2. Islam (Like the KKK, Mafia and the SS brand of Nazism) has/had a very thin veneer of religion;
3. The false-prophet Mohammed (Who was a murderer, liar and treaty breaker, bandit and the perverted sexual abuser of a nine-year-young girl-child) declared perpetual war against all "unbelievers" (Until they join Islam or accept the slave-like state of dhimmitude), a war which continues in our era in the Sudan, Thailand, parts of the Philippines,,Fort.Hood and New York City on "9/11";
4. Most Mosques are, to some extent, funded by the most regressive, medieval and anti-civilization branch of Islam (ie Wahhabism) and use that sect's hate literature, much printed in Saudi Arabia;
5. Lying to "unbelievers" is one of the standard and common responses of Muslims to any questions, about their ideology, from "unbelievers", including before the Courts in the USA whose authority Muslims do NOT recognize;
6. Muslims "behave themselves" ONLY until their part of any local, regional or national population reaches certain levels (eg France; "Londonistan"; the Nordic nations; Dearborn, Michigan);
7. The true believers of Islam must believe that the words of the the Koran are directly from its Allah (Not the same as Arabic speaking Christians) and, along with the sayings and examples of Mohammed, are totally binding on them;
8. The declared goals of Islam include: The destruction or effective suppression of all ideologies other than itself and of all real religions; Rule of all nations by only Muslims; Replacement of all legal systems other than Sharia; Subjection of all women and all non-Muslims to the will of male Muslims; And, the other horrors of that Nazi like movement.
9. The allowed, approved and too often commanded methods of Islam and Muslims to achieve those goals include: Murder and mutilation; Rape and enslavement; Genocide;
Perpetual war with "unbelievers" until they become Muslims or accept the slave-like state of "dhimmitude"; Lying to "unbelievers" as the approved and commanded tactic of Muslims as to "pointed questions" regarding Islam; AND, the consideration of any resistance to or complaints about Islam as an attack which the "faithful" are required to counter-attack, very often by physical attack.

Supporting Islam = Treason (#2)

I have elected to apply the "KISS Principle" to this matter.
1. Treason, under our Constitution, is limited to waging war against the USA (Which includes adhering-to or supporting those who are active in such acts).
2. Islam has been in a state of self-declared war against all non-Muslims for 1400-years.
3. Islam requires all of its adult male members to either be personally involved in such warfare
(Jihad) or to "support it with all their wealth".
4, Much (Most?) of all contributions to "Islamic Charities" ends up, as the Koran commands (Please see #3 above) in the hands of terrorists whose program includes attacks on the USA.
5. No believing Muslim will publicly condemn or deny those parts of the Koran or other Islamic teachings which call for such wars---Including against the non-Muslim citizens of and lawful visitors to the USA.

SUPPORTING ISLAM AND ITS ONGOING WAR AGAINST ALL OTHERS (INCLUDING THE USA) IS TREASON.

Effective Control Of US Border

It is NOT sufficient to merely order units of the National Guard to the border. They must be given "general orders" as will allow them to protect the USA. I suggest the following.

A GENERAL ORDER

1. All persons entering the USA at other than approved places, manned by the Border Patrol, are invaders.
2. All such persons are to immediately be forced back across the border by use of such force as is required to do so.
3. Any such persons who are armed are to be immediately fired upon and that without warning.
4. If the Border Patrol or the Armed Forces of the USA (Or, civilians under their protection) are fired upon from across our border, the Border Patrol and the Armed Forces will react to such attacks by small arms fire, field guns or aviation delivered ordinance.
5. The National Guard, Army and, if necessary, the General Militia shall support the emplacement of not less than six coils of "razor ribbon" (aka "Barbed Tape") for the full length of the fence to be completed along the Southern Border of the USA.

The Good Shepherd Vs. The Wolves

Jesus the Christ very firmly declared that He was the "Good Shepherd". What then does such a person do when wolves attack to take away or kill the sheep, lambs and (Like myself) "old goats" of his flock? Why, any good shepherd will use his rod and staff (Both weapons!) or, like the Psalmist David) some other weapon (eg A projectile weapon called the sling) to drive away or, better yet to prevent future predation, kill the wolves. The good shepherd will realize that it is useless to "reach out" to wolves or to forgive them as they remain what they are and that without mercy or consideration of the rights of the shepherd or his charges NOR any willingness to reform even if "forgiven".

Today, those wolves who attack Jesus' flocks are usually: Those who obey the horrid teachings of the false prophet Mohammed; Aggressive "secular humanists" (ie Atheists) who use the force (Too often of civil law) to inflict their goals upon Christians and other believers; And, that especially rabid sub-group, those who perform elective abortions and those who support them.

Those of us who are willing to be "Assistant Good Shepherds" (Or even sheep/guard dogs) in the defense of the flocks of innocents should recall what good shepherds do as to predatory wolves! Attack and destroy!

Equitable Responces To Islamic Attacks

There is a world-wide campaign of attacks against Jewish, Christian Buddhist. Sikh and other true religions' communities, places-of-worship and individuals by Muslims acting alone (As a result of "Sudden Jihad Syndrome"), small groups, larger mobs and regional OR world wide organizations.

Yet, when any Muslim is asked about such attacks, their usual response is that, "Oh. those are the other and radicalized Muslims". That is a lie OR a much more dangerous "half-truth" or "half-lie"---For the following reasons.
1. All Muslims must believe that the whole of the Koran are the actual words of their Allah and may not be altered or modified or softened by any person since the death of Mohammed AND such commandments and examples are to be followed;
2. The Koran (Along with the sayings of Mohammed and the examples of his life) encourage or allow, and often command, the use of murder, rape and enslavement, genocide, banditry, perpetual war with "unbelievers", sexual use of girl-children as young as nine-years-of-age and the other horrors taught by that creature.
3. One of the best kept secrets of Islam is that all Muslims consider themselves of a world-wide brotherhood (ie Ummah) with full responsibility for each other and with a duty to support each other against the "unbelievers".

Since #3 above is true, I see no reason to NOT hold any Muslim (Group) responsible for the actions of ANY other Muslim Group(s) anywhere in the world.

Therefore, the burning of a Christian Church in Egypt could result in the like destruction of a Mosque in the USA or Londonistan or Paris. The like destruction of a Sikh temple (Gurdwara) in Cape Town would result in parallel and counter action in Denmark. The same should hold for Muslims' attacks Synagogues, Hindu-Buddhist temples, Etc..

The just means of doing so would require:
1. Prior and world-wide warning of such actions-to-come if the noted Islamic attacks do not fully stop;
2. Further such warnings after the first few instances of such "reactions";
3. That should be done without hate or other illicit passions and only as a "teaching example"or matter-of-justice or "balancing Karma". [For traditional Christians, the teachings of St. Bernard of Clairvaux, in his "De Laude Militae Novae" should be applied .]
4. Unlike Muslims, others should not attack women children and should attempt to, as much as possible, minimize "collateral damage".

It may be that Muslims will not respond to such attacks by stopping their attacks as they worship death and welcome such for their Allah (NOT the same as Arabic speaking Christians and other non-Muslims).

But, we must remember that compromise with evil is evil and our human and basic goal, under "Natural Law", is Justice above Peace.

Those who object by saying "Do you want to start a war with 1.5 Billion Muslims should be remember that Mohammed declared perpetual war against "unbelievers", which war obviously continues to this day.

A Theoretical Note On Fuel Air Bombs

On a purely theoretical basis, I understand that taking an agricultural, high-pressure, large-volume-output spraying apparatus, filling the "pesticide" tanks with light fuel oil, using "liquid-petroleum-gas" rather than air as a carrier, spraying such into the largest room of a large building and then suddenly igniting that cloud (eg With a flare-or-rocket from the type of projector often found in ships' life-boats) will result in the destruction of that large building.

Now, what made me think of this?

Perhaps, it was the usual floor plans of certain buildings used by a well-known,international and 1400-year-old criminal-terrorist movement-or-ideology
(eg As planned for downtown New York City and Copenhagen, Denmark).

"When In The Course Of Human Events"--Again

"When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another..." is the beginning of the Declaration Of Independence as chiefly authored by Thomas Jefferson. After that beginning he set down a "Bill Of Particulars And Complaints" which pointed out the "reasons why" Americans could and must separate themselves from an overbearing, central, government much too concerned with the letter-letter-of-the-law and which government had lost sight of the spirit-of-the-law. as applies to any democracy. [They should also read the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution.]

Have we gone full circle?

It is well that private citizens of the USA hold 200,000,000-plus firearms, many of military grade AND hold within themselves the knowledge on how to properly use them.

Furthermore, I will consider any official who signs the USA onto the UN (Useless Nations) "Small Arms Treaty" a person who is waging war on the Constitution, the People of the USA and this nation. Such such a person is a traitor and is subject to arrest (With any level of force needed to do so) and subject to trial (By a "Peoples Court" if within no other venue).

Muslim Soldiers As Threats To The USA

On July 28, 2011 came the news that an AWOL Muslim soldier was arrested at the same gun shop (On warning to the police by an as usual law-abiding gun-store owner) where Major Nidal Hasan , of Ft. Hood infamy, bought his weapons before waging jihad-war against the USA and his fellow soldiers as an aggravated act of treason. This latest Muslim soldier-traitor was asking how to build a bomb.

It seems more-than-strange that politicians, publishers-and-editors, teachers, non-Muslim religious leaders and others cannot "connect the dots" and come to the only rational decision, which is that no adult-male Muslim can be trusted to not suddenly, alone or with others, go on military-jihad and wage war against the USA, which is treason (7).

We should demand that the persons noted above (Especially the MJS editors) admit to a realistic definition of Islam (As NOT a religion and AS a clear-and-present danger to the People of the USA and all civilized nations) and stop being "politically correct" !

Charging Fees For CCW Permit (In Wisconsin)

Wisconsin has become the 49th State to allow/require the issuance of permits to carry concealed weapons. But, it charges fees to obtains such a license. I maintain that such charges are unconstitutional on the basis of the constitutional provisions cited below as the full exercise of that basic right no less that the one-time charging of "Poll Taxes" to vote were excluded from public law.

WISCONSIN CONSTITUTION (ARTICLE-1, SECTION-25): The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other lawful purpose.

District Of Columbia Vs. Heller; 554 U. S. 570 (2008)
