Your conception of history is a bit skewed. Did you know it was not uncommon to have child brides in both ancient Christianity and Judaism?
I'm wondering how many treaties were broken, how many innocent lives lost all in the name of the Christian god.
Not saying that fanaticists of Allah haven't used their "exalted position" to cause harm to others. But hey, it's a hallmark of religion, almost every religion, to stomp on the unbelievers.

Brides yes; But, actual intercourse was (Among civilized peoples)not executed until after puberty.
