With the activation of the newest high-energy particle accelerator I again wonder if all of the many claimed sub-atomic particles are, in fact, separate entities or merely the same entity at different energy levels and viewed by different observational methods.
Another way of putting this, is the pantheon of such particles only the theology of physics' equivalent of "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?".
No doubt that the high priests of physics will defend their well paying positions by punishing such heretics as myself as their counter-parts did to those who doubted the religion of global warming.

International Law On Piracy
http://rhymeswithright.mu.nu/archives/098950.php
TO UNDERSTAND THE POTENTIAL OF DEFINING TERRORISM as a species of piracy, consider the words of the 16th-century jurist Alberico Gentili's De jure belli: "Pirates are common enemies, and they are attacked with impunity by all, because they are without the pale of the law. They are scorners of the law of nations; hence they find no protection in that law." Gentili, and many people who came after him, recognized piracy as a threat, not merely to the state but to the idea of statehood itself. All states were equally obligated to stamp out this menace, whether or not they had been a victim of piracy. This was codified explicitly in the 1856 Declaration of Paris, and it has been reiterated as a guiding principle of piracy law ever since.
It has long been a principle of international law that pirates are the "enemies of all humanity", are "outside the protection of the law" and may be killed, with-or-without "due process of law", by any nation's agents or, in the act of piracy, by any person attacked by them. This is true even if those pirates are sanctioned or protected by some State.
The Law-Of-War does not protect pirates OR terrorists caught in the act of their crimes.Any disposition of pirates and terrorist, less than killing them, is an "act of grace" and NOT a right. This includes perpetual confinement (Under any conditions) and even "water boarding" to obtain such information as might allow the further suppression of piracy and terrorism.
To paraphrase: Those who do not study and learn from history will be condemned to repeat it. The lesson not learned, by the USA and the West, from the history of the 1800s "Barbary Pirates" is that paying ransoms to and compromising with pirates increases their criminal activity levels; AND, the only way to effective deal with them is to kill pirates, destroy their ships AND severely punish their bases-of-operations even if within the alleged jurisdiction of some semi-government as Somalia.

Back To "These" United States
I am neither an attorney nor a "constitutional scholar"; But, an avid student of history.. As such I wish to bring some "history" to apply to the recent "health care" legislation passed by the Congress and to like issues as to this nation's status as a Republic (And NOT a, more-or-less, pure or unified democracy).
Until, at the least, the War Between The States (Fought more over States' Rights than slavery), this nation was generally known as "These United States". Beginning after that most bloody war, the pendulum began to swing (Kicked more into motion by the two World Wars and, since 1945, by more and more "creative" judicial activism) towards having the USA known as "The United States".
Much of that expansion of Federal power appears to have been based on the use or misuse of the "Interstate Commerce Clause" of the Constitution---As written BEFORE the "Bill Of Rights" and, most specially its Tenth Amendment. All of those first ten amendments were required before the final acceptance of the Constitution to protect the rights of the People and, to some extent, the Several States.
Now, I am unable to mutate and mutilate the Constitution to the fine level of convoluted reasoning demonstrated by the Congress and, most specially, by those "High Priests Of The Religion Of The Law", more commonly called Federal Judges. But, I do understand that the noted clause was to prevent States from discriminating against the exports of other states and, incidentally to set the legal framework for tariff laws (The primary income source of the Federal Government for many years) and the then existing status of the "Indian" tribes as independent nations.
But, I am able to understand the logic that modifiers (The Tenth Amendment) limit or more finely define what came before OR towards what such are designed or intended to do. I also understand that the Fourteenth Amendment was to extend rights-and-powers to individual citizens under the (Full) jurisdiction of the Nation and NOT to extend Federal powers. I also know that the Constitution, itself, contains the amendment-means to add or delete "rights" through its amendment-clause. There is noting in that key and basic document which allows such changes in rights (eg Possession/manufacture of alcoholic beverages, votes for women) by some judicial "discovery of rights" and without the People's approval. (nb The "right to keep and bear arms" is in the Constitution, without any "reasonable conditions clause" and pre-dates that document in our legal traditions. It was recently confirmed, NOT discovered, by the Supreme Court.)
I suggest that the pendulum towards centralized, Federal, power has swung too much towards tyranny and needs to find a better balance-point. I suggest that the People's reaction to Chicago-style politics, in the Obama administration, may be the beginning of such a rational and democracy-supporting force---Unless we are again betrayed by some Judges and the Congress.

The "Religion Of Peace) In The USA
Those who claim that "Islam" is a "religion of peace" should attend to the following FACTS.
(1). Post: Islam's Nature & Growth Patterns: Key Document
Link: http://crusaderknight.blogspot.com/2009/03/islams-nature-growth-patterns-key.html
(2) We recently got taken to the mat by a polite, young Muslim living in the U.K. who took issue with our oft-repeated statement that no Muslim-American lost their life to vigilante violence following 9/11. She provided us a list of six or seven candidates and, after whittling out the ones where the killer was unknown or in cases with mitigating circumstances such as “victim was sleeping with killer’s ex-girlfriend” (and we're not making that up), we reached a shocking conclusion:
We were wrong.
There is one seemingly unambiguous case that occurred in Dallas, Texas where Waqar Hasan, a Muslim convenience store owner, was gunned down by Mark Anthony Stroman four days after the 9/11 attacks. Stroman claimed to have been motivated by anger from watching the towers fall. He is not exactly your average American, however, even apart from the shooting. For one thing, he is a white supremacist who carried a felony criminal record at the time of the attack. He also went on to shoot two more people in the weeks that followed.
Thankfully, an American jury sentenced Mark Stroman to death. The same cannot be said of many Muslim terrorists such as Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset Al Megrahi, who not only have sanctuary in Muslim countries, but are often treated as heroes by devout followers of Muhammad.
Nevertheless, we acknowledge that our friend is correct and that there was at least one Muslim killed in an anti-Arab hate crime in the U.S. following the anti-American hate crime on 9/11. For anyone keeping score:
People killed by radical Muslims on 9/11: 2,996
Muslim-Americans killed "in revenge": 1
Of course, 9/11 was neither the first nor the last time that Muslims have killed Americans on U.S. soil in terror attacks. In fact, since that day, Muslims have killed at least 52 people in 31 separate acts of terrorism in the United States (by the standards that Muslim-American groups set for hate crimes). Perhaps more importantly, there have been quite a few planned mass murders of Americans by Islamic terrorists that were thwarted by the FBI, law enforcement and overseas intelligence operations both before and after 9/11.
By contrast, Muslim-Americans do not appear to be in any special danger from murderous (non-Muslim) religious fanatics, even in a nation awash in firearms. Identity groups, such as CAIR, whine incessantly about relatively trivial incidents while turning a blind eye to the horrible violence that is meted out daily in the name of their religion. This distasteful petulance offers insight not only into the character of Islam, but also the impressive religious tolerance that Americans manage to maintain.
For anyone wondering about the history of deadly Islamic terror on American soil in the last 35 years, here’s what we could find:

Unpopular Proposals For MPS
Last November 1st the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, very properly, contained a number of stories and columns illuminating and commenting on the Milwaukee Public Schools and other educational issues. However and for the most part, the various writers today and in-the-past have avoided some of the possible-to-probable methods of improving those schools by cutting unneeded costs and attending to unpopular facts
As a part of my Wisconsin taxes go to support MPS. I feel free to make the below comments.
First and foremost, MPS should immediately discharge not less than 50% of all employees not involved with direct services (eg Teaching, nurses, maintenance, security) to students and those involved in directly mentoring of first-year, new, teachers. Those persons who generate the screams that a lack of tax increases will result in losses in music, arts, advanced science-and-math and other programs should be satisfied as the moneys saved by their departure will directly and indirectly allow the continuation of those programs without tax increases.
I expect howls on this suggestion! However, all inter-school athletic competition should be eliminated to use the freed-up monies for the initiation of ability-based, disiplined and general exercise programs for all pupils and students with an expected, as research proves, improvement in academic performance which athletic programs for a few do not provide. Reduction in the costs of equipment, buildings and grounds maintenance, liability insurance and like costs can also be expected.
A very unpopular thought, fact and concept is that illegal aliens and their families should be excluded from all government benefits as they cost citizens and legal aliens much more than they contribute to the common good (Remember that term?). Therefore, MPS (And all other schools and government units) should do all possible to ID "illegals" and have them removed from the USA. As a side-benefit of this, more entry level jobs will be available to the so highly unemployed Black youths and young adults, perhaps providing more two-parent families to the benefit of students' education.
Thirdly, all school staff suspected of acts of sexual and other abuse of others (In or out of school) should be reported to the police for investigation. If charged, they should be suspended from duties; If convicted, fired-for-cause and NOT allowed to resign---With that act entered in the permanent personnel file and reported to the State Superintendent of Schools. Conviction of any felony or crime-of-assault should result in the same actions as proper civil conduct is an essential part of teachers (And principals) being a proper example for the young. Any contrary contract provision is against public policy! A weighing of public interests will overcome contract law. (These events should and must be a matter of public record (In accordance with the law and the MJSs' position on "openness in government").

Upgrading Legal Standards In Wisconsin
On March 7Th the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel published a short column ("Defining the 'practice of law"") by Wisconsin's Lawyers' Union (Excuse me, Bar Association) Doug Kramer. This was much more of a defense of a monopoly than an expression of any real interest in providing the best legal services to our State's citizens.
If Mr. Kramer is rally interested in maintaining that quality he and his fellows should propose the following rules and insure their enactment:
1. Any attorney who steals from a client will have his/her law license permanently revoked;
2. Any attorney who uses his/her position to engage in a sexual relationship with a client shall suffer the same penalty;
3. Any suspension of a law license will be the last such action as a second disciplinary action, resulting in a finding of guilt, shall result in the same permanent revocation; And,
4. All disciplinary actions by the State Bar would become open records and forwarded to the like organization in all of the Several States and the territories of the USA.
Such a policy and Administrative Rule would end such "black humor" events as the Bar's decades-long fiasco of the Bar's and Supreme Courts' playing around with THAT attorney Eisenberg. Certainly Wisconsin has more than enough lawyers to afford the revocation loss of the bottom end of that profession.-
When the State Bar becomes serious about such maintenance of quality, it then should feel free to advocate for the measures Mr. Krammer proposed in the cited column. (Oh, by the way, I am more-than-pleased with my attorney.)

Gandhi---Hero Or Otherwise?
For reasons I can only guess at so many persons are pushing the teachings of that full-of-self, family abusing, opponent of human progress and attorney "Mahatma" Gandhi as an golden example of humane humaness. It might be well to take a really close look at Gandhi and the British he so opposed as to what they have left to India and the world.
We might also look at the fruits of his behaviors and thoughts in the smaller world of his family.
1. Gandhi, India, The British & Inheritances
The British found the very disorganized sub-continent of India, misruled by petty and great tyrants, with poor roads made very unsafe by thugee (Worshipers of the goddess Kali, which devotees murdered in her name---And enriched themselves by robbing those victims), unequal treatment of the People under too many non-systems of law and the will of self-serving Maharajahs and other princes, suttee (All but mandatory suicide of widows), religious discrimination and wars-and-terrorism based on Faith differences the lack of any common language or good communications AND too many other evils and limiting factors to list here.
The British imposed order, law and some measure of justice. All, including the various tyrants, were brought under a more-or-less equal rule-of-law; Thugee and suttee were suppressed; The prior and many wars between princes were stopped and banditry across the North-West frontier was resisted; Roads were repaired and made straight and a model railroad system installed; The land was mapped, telegraph service (The first "Internet") was established; Trade was facilitated and some industries established (The basis of today's "Indian Economic Miracle"); English, now THE international language, was introduced and widely spread throughout that sub-Continent; Some measures towards the limiting of evils of the caste system were begun (And are still a "work-in-progress); The peaceful worship of God and gods was protected; And, other positive steps, too many to list here, were taken towards civilization.
What then was Gandhi's thrust and gifts to us---Directly or indirectly? A return towards primitivism, Hindi as an imposed and not neutral language; Resistance to law and order; Three "Indias" rather than one as accomplished by a genocidal division; Return to inter-Religious warfare and terrorism (Including the recent Hindu assaults on Christians as added to the jihad supporters violence towards everyone who disagrees with them); Uncontrolled and barely resisted banditry across the NW frontier; Military dictatorship in Pakistan as the only rational alternative to chaos or the misrule of Mullahs; AND, too many other evils and anti-civilization acts and results to list here.
"By their fruits you will know them".
2. About the family of famous Indian political leader Mahatma Gandhi, history of his sons.
MOHANDAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI
(1869-1948), Indian political leader
His Fruits: "You want my sons to be holy men before they are men!" Gandhi's wife once exclaimed. It was true. "A blot which I have never been able to efface," wrote Gandhi, was his own absence when his father breathed his last. At that moment, Mohandas was in bed with Kasturbai, his pregnant child-wife; he never forgave himself. He abandoned sexual relations at age 37 and evidently saw his four sons as living reminders of his own sexual "curse." All of them, according to one account, "tried to live up to their father's expectations of them, but each, in his own way, failed, and in Gandhi's attitude toward their failure there was, by his own testimony, an element of guilt for sexual excesses in his childhood marriage." His sons resented their upbringing as disciples. They were not, for example, allowed the formal education which Mohandas himself had received and which would have provided them with their own choice of livelihood.
Harilal Gandhi (1888-1948) rebelled most strongly. He renounced all family ties in 1911 and embarked upon a tragic, lifelong path of self-destruction. He became a Muslim convert, an alcoholic, an embezzler; accounts of his arrests, public drunkenness, and destitution became commonplace. "I was a slave of my passions when Harilal was conceived," said Mohandas. Harilal appeared at his father's funeral in such derelict condition that few recognized him. He died in a tuberculosis sanitarium two months later.
Manilal Gandhi (1892-1956) was in disgrace in 1916 after he lent his elder brother some money. Mohandas sent him to South Africa, where he edited an Indian newspaper. Later he spent a brief period in India, bitterly astonished at the Mahatma's genial, old-age mellowness.
Ramdas Gandhi (1898-1969) had no taste for asceticism, yet participated in the grueling civil protests of the 1930s. Numerous jailings wrecked his health. Born and raised in South Africa, he never adjusted to the idealistic poverty imposed by his father.
Mohandas acted as midwife at the delivery of his youngest son, Devadas Gandhi (1900-1957).
Alone of all the sons, Devadas stayed near his father, sometimes being granted the privilege of serving as his secretary.
In 1976 Gandhi's direct descendants numbered 47 in five nations. According to Ved Mehta, author of Mahatma Gandhi and His Apostles, they "do everything from selling life insurance to working in space engineering; one is a Moral Re-Armament evangelist." Deposed Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi is no relation.
"By their fruits you will know them."

Corporations & Political Contrbutions
There are many who object to "corporations" being included in those "persons" recently freed from political contribution restrictions by the Supreme Court. But, do those persons' definition of "corporation" include such organizations as: Labor Unions, especially the very political teachers' unions of this era; NAACP; ACLU; Academic organizations and universities; The NRA; The various anti-NRA groups; National and State manufactures' associations; PTAs; The Boy & Girl Scouts; Many religious organizations (And those who oppose religion); And, many others groups of people. Arch-typically these organizations are incorporated.
Although many of them have no direct interest in "their" corporation making a profit, they all do pay off their members in money or political influence or other benefits.
Many of these corporations are organized to allow their members (Individual citizens and others) to pool their money, collective voices and other resources to, among other things, have a greater impact on politics. For many, this is not the sole or chief purpose of such corporations.
Therefore, I cannot see or understand why some incorporated groups of people (Who may have a primary profit goal) should be excluded from a corporate decision to attempt to influence public opinion as to elections.
These "people-purists" also failed to note the influence of such individuals as George Soros who gives huge sums of cash (Often through partially-or-fully hidden paths) to affect public-political opinion in the USA.
They are still welcome to (Perhaps through a non-profit corporation) attempt to amend the First Amendment. Until that occurs: "Congress shall make no law....".

Tea Parties, History, Arms-And-The Man
All Americans should know enough history to realize:
1. The National Guard was not formed until 1919;
2. Before that year the States had organized land and sea militias AND all adult males (Within certain age limits and only males, now probably unconstitutional) belonged to the "unorganized militia" which could and can be called to State service;
3. Until Mr. Sullivan forced the "Sullivan Act" (To control the possession of arms by his political opponents) into effect (Followed by other restrictive laws, any free (White I must admit) citizen could arm openly or by CCW himself and travel anywhere in the USA;
4. The 1770s "tea parties" were followed by tarring-and-feathering of tax officials, their exile from home communities AND, when the lawful government of that time attempted to seize the arms belonging to local militias, armed revolution; And,
5. Before 1775 what became the USA was full of corresponding-committees, secrete and radical small groups and many official and unofficial bands of armed men who assembled, drilled and practiced the arts-of-war.
Then the cry was "No taxation without representation"! Today, it appears to be "Too much taxation for the benefit of elected officials and not for the People!!".
In the early 1770s, right up to the British march on Lexington and Concord (And after-wards) there was hope that the British Government and the colonists could resolve their differences. But, the careful-and-prudent colonists planned for other possibilities, which became necessary for our national survival as a Free People. Only pathological pacifists will totally deny the potential for armed popular reaction if, and only if, the government attempts to seize the Peoples arms, control free speech (Including Fox and radio talk shows) and suppress real religions (All of these attacks have begun.)
At age-71 I am too old to participate in any (Hopefully never to happen) reactions to a more active government attacks on the People I do remember by 1956 military oath and, despite an Honorable Discharge, still consider it binding on me as to the defense of the People and NOT public officials. I would rather "go out in a blaze of gunfire" than support those who claim "It can't happen here"---Until it is too late to preserve the Republic.

Study Of History & Learning From It
This is in response to Mr. James Causey's Feb. 14, 2010 column on "Black History" in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
I am very much in favor of the study of ALL history and in paying close attention to the (Paraphrased) maxim: Those who do not learn from history will be condemned to repeat it. Rather than a "Black History Month", why not an "Immigrant History" theme and infuse the story of the first immigrants (Perhaps "Native Americans"), voluntary immigrants and those involuntary (Black and White) persons transported here as slaves, bound servants and sentenced criminals, legal-and-illegal migrants to be had throughout all history classes and programs in our schools, editorial comments and newspaper features, by parents, TV reporting and so on?
The lessons learned from those migrations could include their contributions-and-subtractions from the building of our agricultural and industrial nation. The impact of such persons on "high culture", popular culture, scientific development, political movements and every other facet of human activity from pizza to soul food, from Mozart to Jazz, ETC..
The learning of historical facts must NOT be limited to currently "politically correct" factoids; But, more and more as students age, to even the most controversial matters and, much more importantly, reasoned debate on such. All of those teachers listed above, and more, who cannot deal with such are failures as teachers.
SOME CHALLENGING TOPICS FOR HISTORY TEACHERS
I will now mount my avocational historian hobby horse and toot my politically incorrect horn and provide the following, Non-PC and challenging topics and questions for all history teachers (As partially listed above).
(A) IMMIGRATION: Many facts as to immigration, especially as to recent and illegal movements into the USA, are suppressed by prostituting politicians (But, I repeat myself: Paraphrased from an American humorist) selling themselves for such votes and will keep them in office, by editors in favor of open borders and, perhaps, some church leaders who wish to inflate the numbers of persons in their denominations or who fail to understand that citizenship is something which "belongs to Caesar" and by such business and union interests which specially benefit from illegal immigration.
1. What, if anything, do immigrants collectively owe those who came to the USA before them?
2. If, and only if, such collective payments are owed: Who should receive them; And, should the costs of some immigrants-groups charges against our criminal justice, educational and other social programs be subtracted from any such payments?
3. What are the costs of illegal immigration VS contributions to the economy and the "common good" (Including the entry level jobs so needed by our youth, especially Blacks, most specially in this recession-or-depression)?
4. What proportion of the Nobel Prize winners are of Jewish or Asian decent and were immigrants into the USA? Why are those groups different from others?
5. What are the effects of Muslim immigration into the USA and other nations?
Post: Islam's Nature & Growth Patterns: Key Document
Link: http://crusaderknight.blogspot.com/2009/03/islams-nature-growth-patterns-key.html
(B) RACE MORE GENERALLY: This is, unfortunately still a touchy issue in the USA.
1. Who is Black or Latino or Asian or Jewish or Arab or Slav in a more-and-more racially mixed society?
2. How is racial or ethnic identification decided? Is this a matter of personal and not family or social decisions? (I could claim "Asian" as I am <1/256 Tartar by physical evidence AND by the "one drop of blood" rule.)
3. What do such highly educated "minority" persons as Mr. B. H. Obama, the many doctors of Asian decent and such-like have in common with the mass of sweat-of-brow and very distant relatives who came to the USA before them?
4. Are we progressing from a post-racial to a very class-limiting society where even public university education is priced beyond the means of many or most of the "under-class" or even the lower middle class?
5. Do race-based "Bell Curves" still have any value in projecting collective academic success? If not, how are differences between Jewish-and-Asian students explained other than on a racial or culture basis?
(C) ISLAM: Almost too many questions to list here; But, ....
1. What are the effects of non-military Muslim immigration? (Please see A-5 above.)
2. Why are so many teachers, journalists, religious leaders, politicians and others reluctant to point out that the teachings of the Koran and other Islamic works are unalterable and allow or encourage and, sometimes command, the use of murder, rape-and-enslavement, genocide, perpetual war against all who do not view (Their brand of) Islam as superior to all other belief-systems, unequal treatment of all women and all "unbelievers" and the other and like teachings of Mohammed?
3. Why (Other than Arab oil) do so many people fail not the connection between Islam and such acts of individual jihad as represented by Major Hasan at Ft. Hood and almost weekly, and barely reported, incidents?
4. What are the differences in "world view" between Muslims, believers in other ideologies/religions, Secularists, Marxists and others?
5. What does "dhimitude" mean and does Islam have "any room" for non-Muslims in any condition other than that?
(D) Learning From History: Although there are manly more "learn from history" questions which might be asked, I will deal with three issues as to "learning from history so as to not be condemned to repeat it".
1. What happens to a successful nation (eg The Roman Republic before Caesar; England before 1960; The USA until recently) when large masses of aliens who will not be integrated into the general society of such lands? (Consider the very limited impact of very Orthodox Jews, race conscious Asians, Sikhs VS the effective integration of German, Italian, Slav and most immigrants VS the exclusive and other-rejecting sub-culture of the true-believers of Islam: Please see A-5 above.)
What lessons are to be learned here???
2. How has militarily aggressive Islam been stopped in the past? By talking or "reaching out" or other pacifist means? Or, was it by dogged and effective use of military force as at such places as: Tours; The Bay of Lepanto; The gates of Vienna; The Eastern border of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, The bay of Navarino (Greek war of independence); And other places.
What lessons can be learned from such campaigns and battles VS "negociating" with Islamic nations and movements?
3. With special regard to current events, what can be learned from the early 1800s bribe compromises with the Islamic Barbary Pirates and the latter-and-successful armed USA campaign against these horrid criminals VS the repeating bribe-by-ransoms compromises with the like Islamic pirates of the Sudan?
No doubt that some of you, who have even the least amount of intellectual and historical honest, could come up with more, non-PC, questions and issues. DO IT!

University Of Wisconsin Salary Increase Plot
This morning's news brought the information that UW's President has formed a "commission" to find reasons to increase salaries within that non-system. That logically leads to the following conclusions:
1. He is unwilling to make such proposals himself and is searching for a way to hide and diffuse responsibility for making suggestions, in this time of economic hardship on most citizens (Especially students and their families), for that indefensible goal.
2. He is shirking the responsibilities of his job and NOT earning his over-inflated salary and even more grossly puffed-up fringe benefits.
3. He is bypassing the UW Regents where basic responsibility for such actions lay.
4. By probable loading that commission with persons who are in favor of such increases he is shutting out those persons who might raise reasonable doubts as to the propriety of such increases.
I can save UW the trouble of any such commission by setting the following rules:
1. Increases should and must be tied to the mean income of all Wisconsin residents, increasing only when that increases and being set back when such decreases; AND,
2. Tuition and costs for students being tied to the same measure.
Now, isn't that simple-and-fair?
The People and Legislature of our State must UW back into the real world of a major economic recession and for other reasons by direct election of the Regents (eg Two from each Congressional District) by the People for four-year terms during the General Elections.

Defining "Political Correctness"
The following is the 2007 winning entry from an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. This year's term was 'Political Correctness'.
The winner wrote: "Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

"Mecca Delenda Est"--The Why & How
I (And other blogers) have been using the expression Mecca Delenda Est ("Mecca Must Be Destroyed") for some time. For myself (And, I suspect, the other users of this version of Cato's slogan) do not care if the physical status of a grubby Arab town is altered in any way. (I would shed tears only for children of that town if a large rock came crashing down from the heavens on that well-spring of evil).
For myself, the "Mecca" I wish destroyed (Totally and without mercy) is the Mecca-Of-Ideas, being the unalterable inventions of the false prophet Mohammed (Changeable only during his life-time and only for his advantage). One summary of those hateful teachings is that Islam allows or encourages, and sometimes commands, the use of murder, rape and enslavement, genocide, lying to and stealing from "unbelievers", perpetual war with all non-Muslims until they "Submit" (The real meaning of "Islam") and the other horrors taught by Mohammed to further the group goals of that criminal-terrorist ideology and the illicit power and sexual lusts of its adult, male, members.
Mohammed, himself, was a murderer, liar and treaty breaker, bandit AND the sexual abuser of a nine-year-young girl-child.

Ideas On Mobius Strip Research
The Moebius Strip, so beloved of those mathematicians called "topologists", has some curious applications in the field of electronics being used to produce a superior resistor not subject to high-frequency interference (1). This causes me to wonder what other applications might be had for that most particular form (A strip with only one side and one edge).
Chemists have even converted molecules into this curious form (2), which makes me wonder what the effect on such manipulating would be as to drugs, fuels, explosives, etc.
What would be the effects of a plastic-explosive in that shape? This should be tested with one strip detonated by various means and at various points. The same should be tested for various combinations of such strips AND both as a primary explosive and as an initiator.
Moebius strips, in various metals and combinations, should be tested under various conditions of electric and electronic excitement at various temperatures down to that of liquid Nitrogen.
I will leave it to your imagination as to other possible ways of looking into the properties of this unique shape.
Of course, as a reader of science-fiction, I note the following possibilities:
1. The tested strip could explode at nuclear or anti-matter levels;
2. Such could merely wink out of existence (In this universe);
3. It could create a "black hole" which would 'eat up" our world;
4. It could open a portal into a star with the expected effect on our world;
5. Other negative effects left to your imagination.
On the other hand, such testing might lead to:
1. A cheap and reliable source of electrical energy superior to any now in existence.
2. Practical "anti-gravity" and quick inter-stellar travel;
3. A method of dumping our toxic wastes "somewhere else"; And,
4. Other positive benefits not listed here.
Anyone knowing of pending research as to the Moebius Strip is asked to contact me. THANKS!

Proposed Constitutional Amendments
COMMENTS???
Amendment 28: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United
States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives,
and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
United States.
Any citizen shall have standing before the Courts to enforce this Amendment."
NOTE: The above was sent to me by a frequent correspondent. It may be in reaction to the Congress exempting its Members and staffs from the provisions of the "public health reform bill". However, it could as well apply to laws against "insider trading" upon my question: "How did so many congress-critters get so wealthy on their salaries and with the expenses of maintaining residences in their home states and in/about the District of Columbia?".
Amendment 29: "No person born in the United States Of America to parents who have illegally entered that nation shall be entitled to be citizens of the United States by reason of that birth nor shall the children of any such persons have the right to bestow citizenship on their children in a like manner.
No person illegally in the United States shall have any protections under the Constitution other than that of a summary hearing to determine the legality of residence in OUR nation."
NOTE; This proposal addresses the question of "anchor children" born to illegal immigrants and the reconquest of the South-Western USA by an alien population which cares not for the unifying English language or laws-and-customs of the USA's more integrated population.
"
Amendment 30: "No person shall be forbidden from possession of a firearm except if younger than 18-years of age (If unsupervised by adults) or on the basis of a judicial finding of guilt to a felony or a violent misdemeanor or by judicial finding of such a mental disease or disorder at to justify such a restriction. The Congress may forbid any open or concealed carrying of weapons in courts, jails or prisons or armories and nuclear sites or secure mental institutions or in the immediate presence of the President and Vice-President of the United States, The Congress and equivalent offices of the Several States and Territories."
NOTE: Since there seems to those not conversant with our history that the Second Amendment to the Constitution is unclear, this proposal would clarify that issue.
Amendment 31: "Ten years after the ratification of this Amendment no person having ever graduated from a law school or practiced law shall be a Member of the Congress."
Note: Attorneys, of course, control our Courts and are well on the way to control the Executive Branch of the national Government.I see no reason to allow them to control all branches of government. The Congress seems intent to generate laws that only some attorneys can understand, thus insuring the incomes of this parasitic class and undercutting the principle, for the People, that ignorance of the law is no violation of it.
You might ask yourself: "What do lawyers produce which benefit the economy?"
Amendment 32: "The sum total of words in the United States Code and Federal Administrative Rules shall be limited to a total of 1,000,000 within five years of ratification of this Amendment.
Upon petition of 5000 or more citizens any Federal Law or Administrative Rule can be found, by a jury of average citizens, to be comprehensible and allowable or incomprehensible and stricken from the Statutes or Codes. Average shall mean one who has a high school and one-year of formal post high school education.

Airports & "Global Warming"
In the USA, at the least, many (Most?) of the official weather stations are at air-ports. In the past these places were typically at the edges of cities or even in rural or semi-rural areas, with short paved runways, with few flights, with air craft having (By today's standards) low powered and internal combustion engines and minimum numbers of autos and trucks coming and departing. Today, these places are surrounded by suburbs and shipping company facilities with attendant concrete roads, use air craft which have huge and powerful jet engines which produce equally huge heat signatures, extensive runways and other concrete surfaces which retain, reflect and even produce (When laid down) like heat and other sources of increased temperature and localized "carbon foot prints".
I suspect that the same tale is evident where most, civilian, air ports are located. Yet, I can recall only one note as to the taking of air temperatures at such places as a potential source of bias in scientific studies of climate change.

Terrorism Imported Into The USA--By Obama
Mr. B. H. Obama is still adamant about closing the very well designed prison at Guantanamo Bay Cuba and transfer its inmates to other nations (Where experience is that they are likely to return to active terrorism) OR transfer them to a prison, probably in Illinois.
I hope the People of Thompson, Illinois, the State of Illinois and of the USA will be pleased by the transfer of the "Gitmo" terrorists to the the prison located in that place---Especially when terrorists seize a local primary school and begin killing one pupil an hour until the other terrorists are safely released from that too convenient prison.
The People of that town may also be expected to learn to appreciate the sound of children being raped and tortured.

Who Is Responcible For Terrorism---Game 3
(This letter is reply to Mr. David's Warren in the Ottawa Citizen of Jan. 1, 2010)
Dear Mr. Warren:
Who is the leading exporter of terrorism in today's world? In Afghanistan and other parts of Asia, Pakistan appears to be the leader if "boots on the ground" are considered in those areas. Pakistan also provides a major base for terrorist training camps Iran appears to be, as you wrote, a "major player"; But, may be limited by limits set by its own internal problems and commitment to a non-Arabic language. Among its far-flung children, the Sudan recruits and provides terrorists in Denmark, the "Twin Cities" of the USA and other places.
Iran does continue to be a major problem as too many "Mad Mullahs" worship death (In the causes of Islam) as opposed to those (Other than abortion supporters) in the West who tend to worship life.
Yet, Saudi Arabia provides the largest portion of pro-Islam and anti-other propaganda. Its royal and other subjects carefully and through untraceable means (Ofter "Islamic Charities") provide huge sums of cash to many terrorist groups in the Middle East and other places.
The real source of such terrorism is in the Koran as an unalterable teacher of the principles that Muslims are encouraged and allowed, and sometimes commanded, to use murder, genocide, rape-and-enslavement, perpetual war with "unbelievers" and other, horrid, teachings, all to further the causes of Islam (And the power and sexual lusts of adult, male, Muslims).
Today, betrayal is bought not with 30 pieces of silver, but with larger numbers of barrels of oil. If Dante would have known of these traitors, he would (No doubt) have put them in the lowest and most frozen Circle-Of-Hell.

Pope "Preaching To The Choir"
For 1400-plus years Islam has allowed or encouraged, and sometimes commanded, the use of murder, rape and enslavement, genocide, perpetual war with "unbelievers" and the other horrors taught by the false-prophet Mohammed (Himself a murderer, bandit, liar and treaty breaker AND the sexual abuser of a nine-year-young girl-child) to advance the causes of Islam and to satisfy the sex-and-power lusts of Muslims. For most of this time the Church has preached mercy-peace-love, without too much concern for the concepts of justice for and protection of the victims of Jihad The practice of these teachings continue to this day.
The exceptions to this suicidal position have been those crusaders who have fought Islam, Nazism (And its allies, including many Muslims), and Atheistic-Communism in many places and times.
Yet the Pope (And too many others) continue to mouth such platitudes as Muslims will not hear and, if heard, will find in direct opposition to the core of their ideology (I will not call it a religions). They will then attack Christians all the harder upon such expressions of weakness and a lack of faith in those who have before, now and in the future, risked blood, limbs, lives and their very souls by the civilization-saving use of deadly force.
Someone should explain the American term "preaching to the choir" to the Pope and have him read St. Bernard of Clairvaux's De Laude Novae Militae.
Respectfully submitted,
James Pawlak

Benedict XVI Offers Key to Peace
Reflects on the Depth of the Human Face
VATICAN CITY, JAN. 1, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Peace begins when we look at one another as persons, regardless of race, nationality, language or religion, Benedict XVI says. But, he maintains, this is only possible when God dwells in our hearts.
The Holy Father reflected on how to achieve true and lasting peace during his homily today in a Mass at St. Peter's for the feast of Mary, Mother of God. Jan. 1 marks the annual celebration of the World Day of Peace.
"To meditate on the mystery of the face of God and man is a privileged path that leads to peace," the Pope suggested. "This [peace], in fact, begins by looking upon others with respect, recognizing in the face of the other a person, regardless of the color of his skin, his nationality, his language or his religion."
"But," he continued, "who, if not God, can guarantee [that we see] what we could call the 'depth' of the face of the person? In reality, only if we have God in our hearts are we in a condition to detect in the face of others a brother in humanity -- not a means, but an end, not a rival or an enemy, but another 'I,' a facet of the infinite mystery of the human being.
"Our perception of the world and, in particular, of our peers, essentially depends on the presence within us of the Spirit of God.
"It is a type of 'resonance': One who has an empty heart does not perceive anything more than flat images, lacking depth. But, the more we are inhabited by God, the more sensitive we are to his presence in those who surround us -- in all creatures, and especially in other people."
Nevertheless, the Pontiff acknowledged, the "human face, marked by the harshness of life and evil" sometimes struggles to be an "epiphany of God."
"Therefore," he continued, "in order to recognize and respect each other for what we truly are, that is, brothers, it is even more necessary to make reference to the face of a common Father, who loves us all, despite our limits and errors."
Unveiling God's face
Benedict XVI's homily was a reflection on the face of God and the faces of man, which he proposed as a key for understanding the issue of peace in the world.
"The face is the expression of the person, par excellence," he suggested. "It is what makes him recognizable and where he shows sentiments, thoughts and intentions of the heart."
"God," the Holy Father continued, "by nature, is invisible. Nevertheless, the Bible also applies this image to him. [...] The whole of biblical history can be read as a progressive unveiling of the face of God, up to the point of his full revelation in Jesus Christ."
Referring to Mary's title as Mother of God, the Pontiff explained that "the face of God has taken a human face, allowing himself to be seen and recognized in the son of the Virgin Mary."
"She who guarded in her heart the secret of divine maternity was the first to see the face of God made man in the tiny fruit of her womb," he reflected.
"A mother has a very special relationship -- unique and exclusive in every way -- with a newborn," the Pope continued. "The first face that a child sees is that of his mother, and this gaze is decisive for his relationship with life, with himself, with others, with God. It is decisive as well so that he can become a 'child of peace.'"
The Holy Father went on to offer a reflection on the Byzantine icon of the Virgin of Tenderness, which depicts the Child Jesus with his cheek against that of his mother: "The Child looks at the Mother, and she looks at us, almost as if reflecting to what she observes, and praying, the tenderness of God, descended in them from heaven and incarnated in this Son of Man that she carries in her arms.
"But this same icon also shows us in Mary the face of the Church, which reflects upon us and upon the entire world the light of Christ, the Church through which the Good News arrives to every person."
Laughing together
Benedict XVI maintained that it is important to be educated in respect for those who are different starting in childhood.
He renewed his call to "invest in education, establishing the objective -- beyond the necessary transmission of technical-scientific notions -- of a broader and deeper 'ecological responsibility,' based in respect for the person and his fundamental rights and duties."
"Only in this way can a commitment to the environment truly become education in peace and the construction of peace," he contended.
The Holy Father observed that "today it is ever more common to have the experience of classrooms made up of children of various nationalities, though also when this doesn't occur, their faces are a prophecy of the humanity that we are called to form: a family of families and peoples."
These children, he said, "despite their differences, cry and laugh in the same way; they have the same needs; they communicate spontaneously; they play together ..."
"The faces of children are like a reflection of the vision of God for the World," the Pontiff affirmed. "Why then wipe away their smiles? Why poison their hearts?
"Unfortunately, the icon of the Mother of God of Tenderness finds its tragic opposite in the sorrowful images of so many children and their mothers in the claws of war and violence: fugitives, refugees, forced immigrants."
The Bishop of Rome spoke of "faces eroded by hunger and sickness, faces disfigured by pain and desperation." And he declared: "The faces of innocent little ones are a silent call to us to take responsibility: Before their helplessness, all of the false justifications for war and violence come crashing down."
"We should," the Pope affirmed, "simply become designers of peace, lay down every class of weapons and commit ourselves together to building a world more worthy of the person."
A cosmic celebration
Benedict XVI contended that people are capable of respect to the degree that they "carry in their own spirits a full sense of life."
"Otherwise, [the person] will be led to despise himself and what is around him, to lack respect for the environment in which he lives, for that which is created," the Pope cautioned. But, "one who knows how to recognize in the cosmos the reflection of the invisible face of the Creator is led to have greater love for creatures, more sensitivity for their symbolic value."
"There exists, in fact, a very direct link between respect for the person and the safeguarding of creation," he contended. "The duty [to protect] the environment is derived from that to [protect] the person considered in himself and in relation to others."
"If the person is degraded, the environment in which he lives is degraded; if the culture tends to nihilism -- if not in theory, then in practice -- nature cannot fail to pay the consequences," the Holy Father affirmed.
And he reflected that there is a reciprocal influence between the face of the person and the "face" of the environment.
"When human ecology is respected in society," he said, "environmental ecology will also draw out benefits."
Finally, Benedict XVI emphasized that the "coming of God transfigures creation and creates a type of cosmic celebration."
"The celebration of faith becomes a celebration of the person and all that is created," he suggested. "The Church renews this mystery for people of every generation; she shows them the face of God so that, with his blessing, they can walk the path of peace."

Pope Urges Terrorists to Abandon Violence
Says a New Path Is Possible With God
VATICAN CITY, JAN. 1, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI is urging those involved in violence of any kind to stop and reflect and thus embark on a path of peace.
The Pope made this exhortation today before praying the first midday Angelus of the year with those gathered in St. Peter's Square. The Holy Father acknowledged that for those involved in violent groups, a change of life might seem impossible. But, he assured, God can make it happen.
The Pontiff's brief Angelus message focused both on the New Year begun today and the path of peace, as Jan. 1 marks the World Day of Peace. The theme for this year's World Day celebration highlighted the importance of protecting the environment.
"To all of you I express my wish that the year just begun will be a time in which, with the help of the Lord, we can find Christ and the will of God and thus as well improve our common home, which is the world," he said.
Regarding the issues of climate change and the disappearance of resources, the Holy Father affirmed that global action is urgently necessary.
But, he continued, "I would like to highlight the importance that each one's decisions have in defending the environment -- the decisions of families and local administrations."
"'We can no longer do without a real change of outlook which will result in new lifestyles,'" he said, citing his World Day of Peace Message. "In reality, all of us are responsible for the protection and care of the created world. Therefore, in this field too, education is fundamental."
The Bishop of Rome continued: "If we should care for the creatures that surround us, what consideration we should have for people, our brothers and sisters! What respect for human life! On the first day of the year, I would like to call out to the consciences of those who form part of armed groups of any kind.
"To each and every one, I say: Stop, reflect and abandon the path of violence! At first, this step could seem impossible to you, but if you have the courage to do it, God will help you, and you will feel return to your hearts joy and peace, which perhaps you've forgotten for a long time now. I entrust this call to the intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God, Mary."
Finally, the Holy Father reflected on the Christmas message, as the octave draws to a close.
"Today, the liturgy reminds us that eight days after the birth of the Child, [Mary] and her husband Joseph brought him to be circumcised, according to the Law of Moses, and gave him the name Jesus, which had been given him by the angel," the Pope recalled. "This name, which means 'God saves,' is the fulfillment of the revelation of God. Jesus is the face of God. He is the blessing for each person and for all populations. He is the peace of the world.
"Thank you, Holy Mother, who gave birth to the Savior, the Prince of Peace!"

Drop In Homicides? Why? Really!
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has reported (Jan. 1, 2010; Page-1A) on Milwaukee's drop in homicides as appears to reflect a nation-wide trend without regard to that city's: Essential non-use of surveillance cameras; The actions of its Police Chief and Mayor; And, the delusional and unconstitutional premise that there are "illegal guns" (Other than fully automatic machine guns and short-barreled rifles and shot-guns).
As to firearms, it should have been noted that this trend towards lower levels of homicides occurred alongside of a citizens' rush to buy handguns and stock up on ammunition since the last presidential election. A knowledgeable (And honest) report would have listed that fact---Along with a breakdown of unlawful misuse of guns by the gender, age-and-race of such shooters and their victims.
Of course, the fact is that we keep in prisons a very large proportion of our citizens (And illegal immigrants) who kill others or inflict other violence on us---As also should be broken down as above.
It may be that the portion of young, male, Blacks/Latinos in the general population (ie Not in prison or jails) may be a factor in this matter. Since male Muslims represent a very small proportion of our population, but are more-and-more evident in ideology-driven killings, some note of the impact of that characteristic should be tracked and reported.
It may be that the real base for such reductions is the increased skill in treating "deep penetrating wounds" as so clearly demonstrated by the staffs of the nation's hospital emergency units. A real measure of "homicides" should, therefore, include attempted homicides.
An honest evaluation of this trend would also evaluate the States and Counties who have the most open AND immediate access to firearms (ie By liberal CCW laws) VS those who are most restrictive in that matter as to this reduction in homicides.
What is most needed is science-based, honest and "politically incorrect" reporting and NOT "sucking up" to elected and appointed officials OR to editors in the "lame street media" who have an irrational fear of an armed, democratic, citizenry.
